Who I am.

Writing life

Since 1987, I’ve been writing for and about education, cultural and nonprofit institutions, healthcare providers, businesses, and others throughout the United States and internationally.

I retired from full-time work recently. Today, I take occasional projects where I work as much on mobile devices and in video as print. Across and combining media, good communication is still about organizing compelling ideas in powerful ways. I’m fortunate to partner with creative collaborators and forward thinking clients.

Writing and editing, consulting, research

Creative partner I collaborate with designers, videographers, photographers, and marketing consultants. Together, we create powerful, strategic communications–videos, brochures, websites, integrated programs, email campaigns, and more.

Brand builder I develop communications strategy and conduct brand research to identify and refine positioning and messaging. I produce videos and publications. I write feature articles and profiles.

Strategic consultant The best consulting culminates in practical application. My consulting goal is always to recommend and execute strategic solutions discovered through research.
