A small, Iowa-based liberal arts college in a land of large state universities needs tangible distinctions. Morningside College has been smart about identifying and promoting key differentiators, like the Morningside Mentorship, which promises highly personalized advising beginning day one and continuing until graduate school or job placement. Working with GDA Integrated Services, art director Jon Kinneman, and Omaha-based video production company Malone & Co., I branded the new advising program the Morningside Mentorship.
I wrote the brochure and collaborated on its unique look, which features a classic design technique of splitting pages into three so the reader can interact with the book, reinforcing their interactive advising program.
We extended the concept in a video for which I wrote a single script that was cut together from students, mentors, and others in the Morningside community.
